It’s hard for the majority of people to believe but, YES you can have a snake shipped and expect it to be alive and healthy when it arrives at your front door. In fact you can ship almost any live animal including fish, shrimp, and lizards. The key to shipping a snake, as with any pet, is the packaging and FedEx Express shipping which means you’re snakes will only spend one evening in the box.

Packaging Your Snake

Depending on the size of your snake we’ll determine whether it needs to be place in a bag or a pietri dish. In either case this container is sealed so it can’t escape during shipping.

The container (box or dish) with your snake is then placed in a Styrofoam insulated box with a heat pad. Each container is hand packaged to ensure the snake is well protected and will not be bounced around inside the box.

Shipping Your Snake

On Wednesday morning your snake will be packaged as described above and dropped off at the FedEx pickup location. Every snake is required to be shipped via FedEx Express which means you’ll receive your snake Thursday morning by 10:30 a.m.

We charge a flat rate of $50 to ship your snake. This includes all the packaging materials as well as the overnight deliver which is why its so expensive. We are bound by law to ship live animals next day morning delivery, so there is no way to reduce this cost. If you’re in the Charleston SC area you can pick or have your snake delivered.
